Mutaz Tamimi is the legal advisor as well as one of the co-founders of the Excellence Center in Hebron, Palestine, which has been operating since 2011. He completed a Bachelor degree in law in Syria, where he worked as a lawyer for almost three years.
Among other adventures, Mutaz has studied his Master degree in human rights in in Germany and lived in Syria. He is a multicultural lover and insatiable traveller.
Rafat Shantir is one of the Co-founders of the Excellence Center in Palestine. Rafat has participated and volunteered in many community development projects in places as diverse as Mongolia, Denmark, Egypt, and Jordan.
He has worked for community development organizations for several years in Palestine, and he strongly believes in the role of community activities and cultural exchanges in the lives of Palestinians and members of the world community. Rafat has received his higher education in Germany and has since continued to make regular international trips.
Marwa Shantir has a Bachelor degree in Islamic Studies from Hebron University, but decided to go down a different path to help and enhance the future of the Palestinian community. In 2012, she started her work with the Excellence Center in Hebron, Palestine as a Center Coordinator.
Ms. Shantir believes strongly in the role of education and cultural exchange in Palestine. The Excellence Center programs provide many educational, community development, cultural, and social opportunities for Palestinian children, women and youth. This is why she loves her work at the Excellence Center.
Meeting new people from all over the world is one of her favourite parts of her role, she enjoys sharing her culture and experiences with other internationals at the Excellence Center.
Mr Abu Hussein has great experience with Palestinian community organizations in Hebron. He has volunteered with youth and children and participated in many local and international workshops over the past five years. In 2014 he became the Community Activities Coordinator at the Excellence Center and part of the media unit.
Mr Abu Hussein has also gained experienced at the Hebron University where he worked in the Public Relations Department in 2014. From 2012 to 2014 he worked at the Alhuriya Radio Station in Hebron where he edited the news and wrote reports and articles for the station.
She is passionate about helping Palestinian students, meeting new people and getting to know new cultures of all kinds.
