The Excellence Center in Palestine coordinates with local olive farmers and – through its pool of EC volunteers – provides these farms with options for seasonal help in the harvesting of their olive crops.

This unique experience provides internationals with the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the olive farmers, their lives, the problems they encounter while farming in the face of the occupation, and their future dreams and desires.

Internationals receive hands-on experience in the olive harvest – particularly educational in light of the fact that for most, their knowledge begins and ends with bottles and cans! In turn, the farmers themselves are very appreciative of this extra seasonal help.
