Whatever the reason for your curiosity, we at the Excellence Center welcome you to join us for our Spend Your Vacation in Palestine program.
This program is an opportunity for visitors to join us in Hebron, stay with a Palestinian host family, and be immersed in Palestinian culture, activities, and events. If you are planning a future trip to Palestine or Israel, consider visiting us at the Excellence Center for a few days to gain an authentic and memorable experience in Hebron.
Brief Information about Spend Your Vacation in Palestine Program
As a participant in this program, you’ll spend your days discovering the history, culture, and daily life of Palestinians. The Excellence Center will create a customized itinerary for your stay, depending on your interests and intent. We will work with you to create a schedule specifically tailored for your time here in Hebron.
Each day of your trip, the Excellence Center will take you to the different local sites, including, but not limited to, the Old City of Hebron, refugee camps, factories, and more. In addition, you’ll meet with several Palestinian families, speak with the youth, and, of course, get your fill of flavorful Palestinian food, tea, and coffee.
Experience real life in Palestine
With this program, not only will you gain knowledge about Palestinian culture, customs, and history, but you’ll also have the opportunity to live with a host family during your stay with us in Hebron.
Host families provide an exciting way for visiting internationals to learn more about Palestinian culture, meet and interact with residents themselves, and improve their Arabic language skills.
When I can join Spend Your Vacation in Palestine program?
You can join the Excellence Center at any time throughout the year. We will work with you to find a time that suits you best. You can choose when you would like to start your experience in Palestine and its duration. Whatever your interest is in Palestine – be it the land’s religious significance, the daily life of its citizens, the distinct culture, the flavorful food, the language or the art – we at the Excellence Center look forward to working with you to create just the right memorable experience for your time with us in the West Bank.
Location of the Program: Hebron, Palestine
Project Length: 1 week (with flexibility)
Arrival Airport: Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv, Israel), Eilat Airport (Israel), or Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan
Age: 18-75
Program Fees: 550€ Euro
The Program fees include pre-departure support, accommodations with a local host family, breakfast, assistance, and coordination while residing in Palestine, three hours of Arabic lessons, and some visits to different sites in the city of Hebron.
Are you interested to stay longer in Palestine?
As stated above, the program fee will include 3 hours of private Arabic lessons. If you are interested in continuing your Arabic studies after the Know Palestine in a Week program comes to an end, we are more than willing to organize this for you.
At the Center, we host Arabic students year-round who come to Palestine to enhance their language skills. You are welcome to join them.
Traveling to Palestine on your own?
No worries, you’ve come to the right place!
You will easily meet many Palestinian university and school students as well as community members with a variety of interests. Especially in Hebron, Palestinian people love to meet new people from different cultures and exchange ideas and experiences.
Moreover, the Excellence Center hosts many international visitors from all over the world who will be studying, volunteering, visiting or interning at center. Of course, you will engage with them in some educational and community activities that the Center organizes.
Everyone at the Excellence Center – Palestinian students, international visitors, and staff – are like one family and there are always activities to do together. Hebron is a good place for international visitors to stay at and offers a great social atmosphere.
How to Fly to Palestine?
The easiest way to get Hebron, Palestine is to fly to Ben Gurion in Tel Aviv in Tel Aviv Airport (Israel). It takes about two and a half hours from the airport to the Excellence Center via shared Taxi.
You can also fly to Eilat airport and then travel by booking a shuttle or taking a bus to Jerusalem and then To Hebron. The whole trip can last between 6-7 hours.
It is also possible to fly into Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan, and then cross into Palestine/West Bank, but it takes considerable more time and is more expensive.

Visa to enter Palestine
Upon your arrival at Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv Airport), Israel, you will be granted a tourist visa valid for 90 days. There is no need to obtain a visa ahead of time.
