The Summer Arabic program in Hebron, Palestine, is an immersive language learning experience that will take place from June to late September 2026. This program offers participants the unique opportunity to learn Arabic in an authentic and immersive environment, while also experiencing the rich culture and history of Palestine.





The Summer Arabic Immersion Program 2026 is designed to be flexible, allowing participants to choose when they would like to participate. Starting on the 1st day of each month (June, July, August, and September), there are three 4-week sessions available. This means that if you desire, you can spend up to three months living and studying Arabic with us here at the Excellence Centre.

Cultural Immersion in Palestine
Taking place in the city of Hebron, West Bank, you will not only be immersed in Palestinian culture, politics, and daily life, but you will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to the current human rights conditions of Palestinian refugees by visiting local refugee camps and Palestinian villages. Furthermore, visits and tours to different Palestinian universities, Bedouin areas, and local families are organized as part of the program to help engage and immerse you wholeheartedly.
By touring Palestinian refugee camps and neighboring communities, students will be immersed in Palestinian culture, politics, and daily life. They will also have the chance to learn about the present human rights situation of Palestinian refugees. The curriculum includes visits and trips to several Palestinian colleges, Bedouin regions, and local people in the city of Hebron, West Bank, Palestine.
A Complete Arabic Immersion Experience
The Summer Intensive Arabic Program 2026, offered by the Excellence Center in Palestine, aims to enhance your relationship with the Arabic language through comprehensive immersion in Palestinian life and culture.
For this reason, summer intensive Arabic classes are taught fully in Arabic, and students are invited to engage in the cultural events and site visits organized by the center. This allows you to practice your language abilities in natural situations while also connecting with the local people in Hebron, West Bank, Palestine.
A Wide Range of Arabic Dialects
Our Summer Intensive Arabic program in Palestine covers a wide range of Arabic dialects, including:

In addition, the Excellence Center also offers each dialect in varying levels of difficulty, including starters, beginners, intermediates, and advanced learners. With 80 hours of Arabic language instruction per monthly session (4 weeks), you will study your desired dialect in class for four hours a day, five days a week.
A small Group Setting
Our summer intensive programs in Hebron, West Bank, Palestine are provided in small group settings made up of 4-5 students to ensure the quality of the course and to give each student the chance to speak, discuss, participate, and develop their language skills to their fullest.
Additionally, it will give you the chance to get the full attention from our highly qualified and experienced Arabic teachers who have studied and attended events both nationally and internationally.


Living with a Palestinian Host Family
As part of our summer Arabic program, you will be offered accommodation and one of the options is to stay with a local Palestinian host family for the duration of your study in Hebron, giving you plenty of opportunities to practice your Arabic with local Palestinian people, including women, children, youth, and local community members. You may even get the chance to attend weddings and other cultural events with your host family.
Moreover, the intensive Arabic coursework combined with the daily interactions with the Palestinian host family will help you increase your Arabic proficiency within a short period of time, regardless of the level you are studying at.
The Day in the Life of a Volunteer in Palestine
Mornings
Volunteering in Palestine requires commitment and flexibility. Volunteers usually work around 30 hours per week (10:00–17:00) and have two days off (Friday, when the center is closed, and one additional day of your choice).
Each morning, breakfast is shared at the center and includes traditional Palestinian foods such as bread, olive oil, za’atar, hummus, labneh, falafel, and fresh vegetables. Staff, volunteers, and interns sit together, creating a warm, communal atmosphere and a chance to connect.



Evening and Weekends
Evenings are generally free time, giving volunteers the opportunity to relax after the working day or explore Hebron at their own pace. Many choose to spend this time with fellow volunteers or colleagues, meeting each other at the center, cooking together, or enjoying shisha in a social setting, as well as discovering local cafés, restaurants, and cultural or historical sites around the city.
Trips to nearby areas such as Halhul and Masafer Yatta are also common. Weekends provide a welcome break from the routine and are an opportunity for rest, travel, and independent exploration, including overnight stays away from Hebron.

Our Summer Arabic Intensive Classes are the best option for those who want to accelerate their Arabic language learning. We give students 4-6 hours of Arabic sessions every day, allowing them to maintain a continuous engagement with the language.
You will almost always cover the equivalent of one semester of Arabic language study in just four weeks with the Excellence Center, resulting in a greater language retention rate and quicker proficiency.

Eligibility
This Summer Intensive Arabic Immersion Program 2026 in Hebron, Palestine, is open to students, undergraduates, graduates, retirees, Arabic learners, and mature students with an academic background. However, English-language fluency is also required and you must be between 16-70 years old to apply.
Language Proficiency Level
We offer a full Arabic curriculum (with books and all course materials included), at six different levels to accommodate students of all language experiences and proficiencies, including:
Starter Arabic Courses
For those who do not have any prior knowledge of the Arabic language and would like to start with learning the alphabet, this course will allow you to gain the fundamental skills in reading and writing Arabic, as well as understanding and engaging in simple, daily conversations.
Beginner Arabic Courses
The beginner Arabic courses are offered at two levels: Beginner I and Beginner II. These Arabic lessons are designed for participants who already have a basic knowledge of Arabic and would like to develop their speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills.
Intermediate Arabic Courses
The intermediate Arabic courses are also offered at two levels: Intermediate I and Intermediate II. Typically, these lessons provide you with the opportunity for Arabic conversations with native speakers to improve your conversational and colloquial skills. Moreover, we focus on further improving your reading, writing, and listening abilities.
Advanced Arabic Courses
At this level, you will concentrate on refining and perfecting your speaking and writing skills by learning sophisticated and technical vocabulary for use in most topics and discussions.


Can I Add More Arabic Hours to My Study Program?
Of course! Students in all of our Summer Intensive Arabic Immersion Program are free to add additional Arabic language hours, with each hour costing 25 euros.
If you are interested in adding extra hours, please mention this in your email, and we will be more than happy to organize them for you.
