Summer months are busy in Palestine

The summer months in Palestine at the Excellence Center are busy with activities. Since children are out of school on summer vacation, the Center is filled with programs, classes, camps, and community events for local Palestinians to participate in.

This summer would you like to be a part of teaching various English courses to local Palestinian students?

The Excellence Center offers programs for internationals to teach English, art and music, photography, journalism, human rights, and many other topics. Volunteering in Palestine affords internationals the opportunity to enhance their skill set, receive a cultural immersion experience, improve their Arabic language skills, meet many new people, and enjoy a new adventure abroad.

Where in Palestine? 

The Excellence Center is located in Hebron, Palestine. Those coming to volunteer with the Excellence Center have another special opportunity to live with a host family in Palestine. Living with a host family, volunteers will see an authentic side of Palestinian daily life. In addition, volunteers receive 3 hours of one-on-one Arabic lessons a week. Concerning program dates, many of our volunteer programs can range from 1 week to 3 months.

When I can volunteer in Summer in Palestine? 

There are no official start and end dates for our volunteer programs because we know that everyone has different schedules, responsibilities, and commitments to keep up with. That is why we allow our internationals to decide when they want to begin and end their volunteer program at the Excellence Center. We work with you to find the best possible timeframe for you to come to Palestine.

 Travel throughout the famous and historically significant land of Palestine

Volunteering in summer in Palestine also grants internationals a chance to travel throughout the famous and historically significant land of Palestine. Our internationals enjoy going on trips to Bethlehem, Jericho, Jerusalem, Ramallah, the Dead Sea, and so many other places.

Trips and site visits in Palestine and Israel

In the summer is a great time to visit these places because they are bustling with people. We at the Excellence Center also organize several group trips throughout a volunteer’s stay to different parts of the West Bank. Should travelers wish to visit places along the Mediterranean Sea, such as Jaffa, Tel Aviv, and Haifa, they are welcomed to do some on their days off as well.
