Rasha Tayyem has a B.A in Arabic language specialization from Hebron University. After graduating and getting her university degree in Arabic Studies, she taught with her university professor for three years, supporting the education of Palestinian students. After that, she moved to the Excellence Center as an Arabic teacher.
She has been at the Excellence Center for four years now, and has been trained in teaching methods for non-native speakers, which has helped her enhance her teaching skills. In addition, she has participated in children’s camps were she has taught basic skills and methods in building leadership traits. She is planning to get a Master’s Degree in Arabic.
Haifa Halayka was born in Ramallah but lives in Hebron. In 2016, she started work at The Excellence Center as an Arabic teacher for non-native speakers. She studied a Major in Arabic Literature with a Minor in Translation at Bethlehem University.
Currently, she is continuing her studies towards a Masters in Arabic Literature at Hebron University. Her ambition is to teach Arabic Literature at a university.

Ms Sinnokrot enhances her students’ Arabic language through visits to different sites in Hebron such as the Old City, supermarkets and various restaurants, providing a setting where they can utilise the Arabic they have been taught in real life situations.

Maryam uses a variety of methods to enhance her students’ skills such as describing videos and pictures, going to supermarkets, cooking Palestinian food, and giving both her Palestinian and international students the opportunity to speak with native speakers. Ms. Joulany also participates in workshops aimed at discussing and improving methods of teaching Arabic and English.

For four years, she has taught English at a private school in Hebron. One year ago, she started to teach Arabic to non-native speakers at The Excellence Center. She also provides online Arabic courses to foreigners who live abroad and want to improve their Arabic speaking skills.
Afnan doesn’t like routine life. She likes learning new languages, reading, swimming, listening to music, watching movies, and cooking. She adores Italian food and her favourite colours are green and purple. She is passionate about learning more about culture and languages. Moreover, she aspires to get her own business in an effective domain in the society.

Mr. Abueissheh started working at The Excellence Centre in 2013 as a teacher of English and Arabic where he teaches different levels of the two languages. During his four years working at the centre, he has improved his skills in teaching by attending many different practical trainings at the Center about using different modern methods and activities in teaching. Today, he is very proud of the success that he has achieved during the years of working at the Centre.

Marwa’s hobby is learning languages and translation. She speaks French and English fluently and is learning Turkish, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and German. She wants to be a professional translator who can speak many different languages.

She has used numerous methods in her classrooms such as describing videos and pictures, cooking Palestinian food and giving her students the opportunity to practice with native speakers.

Recently he was involved in The Leadership and Teacher Development (LTD) program from the National Institute for Educational Training in Palestine. In addition, he is officially one of the founders of PELTA (Palestinian English Language Teachers’ Association) which will soon be the only official body that represents English teachers in Palestine. Moreover, Mr. Zahda has attended and participated in many local and international workshops and conferences in the field of education and in teaching English as a foreign language

Mrs Amro enhances her students’ Arabic and English language by using many interactive methods of teaching. These include open discussions with international volunteers and going to different places in Hebron, such as restaurants and the Old City, so they communicate with volunteers outside classes and write stories about their visits.
Shahd Zahdeh is an English teacher at The Excellence Center. She is a sociable person who loves to get to know and help other people. She obtained her B.A. in English Language and Literature from Hebron University, were she completed her study with a general standing of very good with second honour degree.
She started working at the Excellence Center in 2016 and has found it to be a great experience. She has learnt from other teachers’ experiences, improved her methods of teaching, and is now able to create a good environment for teaching. In addition, she has learnt the traditions, customs, and the cultures of many countries and improved her own foreign language skills through meeting many foreigners from different places such as America, Britain, France, etc.
