Study Arabic in Palestine This Summer 2018 :Calling all Arabic language learners. Do you have plans for summer 2018? From beginner to advance, from young to old, the Excellence Center is ready to welcome you with open arms for a chance to study language in Palestine this summer. Here at the Excellence Center, we offer Arabic lessons where students can study formal Arabic or the Palestinian dialect.
University and graduate students who are hoping to improve their language skills may be most interested in coming to Palestine to study. Summer 2018 break is the ideal time for the university and graduate students to travel and engage in this educational and cultural experience. However, you do not need to be university or graduate student to participate in this program. We welcome Arabic language learners from 18 – 70 years old. It is never too late to begin learning a new language, such as Arabic, and there is no better place to learn Arabic than in an Arabic-speaking area.
Students enrolled in the Excellence Center Arabic classes receive 3 hours of Arabic lessons a day. What’s more is students have the opportunity to live with a host family during their stay in Palestine. Interacting with host families offers great exposure to the language and culture of Palestine. Students are frequently taken along to meet with extended family, friends, and to attend various special events with their host family. A fundamental aspect of language learning is practicing the language as often as possible. With a host family, students are able to apply what they learn in the classroom as they converse with family members. If an Arabic immersion experience is something you are after, then we hope you consider joining us in Palestine this summer 2018.
Maj, from Denmark, is currently participating in our Study Arabic in Palestine program. One thing she appreciates about the Arabic classes is that they are customizable. “There is good communication between the student and teacher to create a plan suitable for the student. Since classes are one-on-on, my teacher is very open to my input. We learn vocabulary that is practical and tailored to my interests.”
Maj is staying at the Excellence Center for 3 months. For the first month and a half, she will be intensively studying Arabic in Palestine. For the final month and a half, she will be volunteering with the Excellence Center as an English teacher. Should you be interested in dividing your time between studying and volunteering, you are more than welcome to do so. At the Center, we are flexible and can work with you to create a plan custom-made to your interests for the summer. We hope you found this information about studying Arabic in Palestine, along with Maj’s experience, useful.
