Where in Palestine?
The Excellence Center is located in the main heart of Hebron, Palestine on Ein Sarah street which is under the supervision of the Palestinian Authority. The Center’s convenient location makes it easy for internationals and Palestinian students to access it.

When can I start my volunteer program in Palestine?
The Excellence Centre accepts applications all year round for our Volunteering programs in Palestine. It is possible for individuals to start volunteering with the EC as soon as one week after receiving confirmation from EC director,Marwa Shantir.
Is prior knowledge of Arabic required?
The majority of students learning Arabic with the Centre have reached Intermediate level through regular school education. For this reason, no knowledge of Arabic is required from international volunteers and interns.
How do I stay safe in Hebron?
Contrary to popular belief, Foreign Office bars on visiting the West Bank were lifted by many governments many years ago and international tourists are increasingly visiting, working and living in the area as living standards develop.
Recent efforts by the Palestinian authorities to encourage visits by internationals and develop appropriate facilities, as well as several new community tourism and activity holiday operators, hotels and home-stay programmes also make experiencing Palestine’s stunning scenery and great food increasingly easy.

Eligibility for the volunteer program in Palestine?
People who are between 20 – 75 years old are eligible to participate in the volunteer Programs in Palestine.
Visa to enter Palestine
Upon your arrival at Ben Gurion Airport (Tel Aviv Airport), Israel, you will be granted a tourist visa valid for 90 days. There is no need to obtain a visa ahead of time.
Volunteer program in Palestine fees
Since the Excellence Center does not receive any funds from any governmental or non-governmental organizations, the Excellence Center charges a fee of 695$ a month or 230$ a week.
The program fees include pre-departure support, accommodations, breakfast, full coordination while volunteering in Palestine, 3 hours per week of Arabic lessons for each week you volunteer, and some visits to different sites in the city of Hebron.
How to Fly to Palestine?
The easiest way to get Hebron, Palestine is to fly to Ben Gurion in Tel Aviv in Tel Aviv Airport (Israel). It takes about two and a half hours from the airport to the Excellence Center via shared Taxi.
You can also fly to Eilat airport and then travel by booking a shuttle or taking a bus to Jerusalem and then To Hebron. The whole trip can last between 6-7 hours.
It is also possible to fly into Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan, and then cross into Palestine/West Bank, but it takes considerably more time and is more expensive.
