• As of January 9, 2022, vaccinated and recovered non-Israeli tourists (including Volunteers and interns in Palestine as well as Arabic students) from all countries will be allowed to enter Israel and the West Bank Palestine. The government decided to lift the travel ban and open the skies fully. By midnight January 6, 2022 all former Red list countries will move to the Orange list.
  • Israeli citizens may travel to all countries.
  • All arrivals to Israel (The West Bank, Palestine) must take a PCR test at the airport. Then, they must quarantine for 24 hours or until they receive a negative result from the PCR test. The results arrive usually in less than 24 hours.
  • Non-vaccinated Israeli citizens returning from travel will take a PCR test at the airport. Then, they must quarantine for 14 days. After 7 days, after receiving a negative result on an additional PCR test, they may be releaased from quarantine.

WHO IS CONSIDERED VACCINATED OR RECOVERED?

  • Fully vaccinated with Pfizer vaccine (within 6 months of the 2nd or 3rd shot). Latest shot at least 14 days before arrival and within 180 days of departure from Israel.
  • Fully vaccinated with Moderna, Astra Zeneca, Sinovak or Sinopharm vaccine (2 shots). Latest shot at least 14 days before arrival and within 180 days of departure from Israel.
  • Fully vaccinated with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine (1 shot). Shot at least 14 days before arrival and within 180 days of departure from Israel.
  • Fully vaccinated with the Sputnik-V vaccine. However, people who have received this vaccine will be required to take a serological test in Israel.
  • Recovered from Covid with positive results from an NAAT test (molecular test similar to a PCR). The NAAT test needs to be older than 11 days upon arrival in Israel, and cannot be older than 190 days upon departure from Israel.
  • Recovered from Covid (and can provide proof of past positive test result) and have received at least 1 dose of a WHO approved vaccine. The positive Covid test result must be at least 11 days old before arrival and within 180 days of traveling to Israel.

FROM WHICH COUNTRIES MAY TOURISTS ENTER ISRAEL?

  • Starting from January 9, 2022, tourists will be permitted to travel to Israel and the West Bank, Palestine from all countries. By midnight January 6, 2022, there won’t be any red list countries.
