Admission- How it Works: From all of us at Engage in Palestine, we thank you for applying to volunteer, intern, or study Arabic in the city of Hebron, West Bank, Palestine. We are looking forward to welcoming you into our family. Our outstanding team will do everything possible to ensure you have an enjoyable and memorable stay.

As an international volunteer, intern, or Arabic student at Engage in Palestine, you will enjoy many exciting opportunities when you arrive in Palestine. Our programs are designed to allow you to engage fully with the Palestinian culture, forge strong relationships, and challenge yourself.

As a volunteer, intern, or Arabic student, you will contribute importantly to the Palestinian community. While embracing a new lifestyle, you will also meet many new people (Palestinians and other internationals). You will be able to learn a new language and work alongside the local Palestinians and refugees from in and around the city of Hebron.

This article will provide more information about the admission process to all our programs at Engage in Palestine.

When Can I Start?

Engage in Palestine accepts applications and participants all year round, usually for one week to three months. You can freely choose your starting and ending dates. Engage in Palestine offers three main programs: Arabic language classes, internship programs, Arabic online courses, and volunteer programs. 

Who Can Apply?

Our programs are open to all, whether you be students, undergraduates, English native speakers or non-native speakers, graduates, professionals, professors, workers, families, solo travelers, researchers, or retired. You must be 18+ years old to participate. 

Steps to Getting Started:

  1. Choose which program you are interested in. 
  2. Email us requesting an application, listing the name of your desired program. 
  3. We will send you the application. You will fill it out and send it back to us.

After We Receive Your Application:

  1. We review the application with our team (this usually takes a week)
  2. You may be invited to a short talk via Skype, Zoom, or WhatsApp to give you more information and answer all the questions.

Selections Process

  1. We will send you an acceptance letter and a program contract.
  2. Sign the contract and send it back to us.
  3. Pay the fees online. 
  4. You are ready to come to Hebron, Palestine, and join our Engage in Palestine family. 

Before Arrival to Palestine: 

Engage in Palestine will introduce you to our family and staff. If you are interested, you could also meet virtually other participants who will be at the center simultaneously. Before arrival, we can also introduce participants staying with a Palestinian host family to you. 

If needed, the Engage in Palestine team will be more than happy to organize a Skype or WhatsApp call to discuss travel instructions to Hebron, answer any questions, and provide more information.
