Traveling to the Middle East in Summer 2018: We live in a huge world. From one side to the other, the world is filled with beautiful places to see, people to meet, and culture to discover. The Middle East, in particular, is an area chockful of culture and history. That is why we want to encourage interested travelers to visit Palestine this summer. Located in the Middle East, Palestine is famed for being the holiest place in the world. Significant in a religious and historical sense, we want to invite you to come to Palestine and visit the Excellence Center this summer.
The Excellence Center hosts internationals throughout the year and provides them with programs to learn Arabic, intern, teach English, and teach other topics to local Palestinians. In the summer is a fascinating time to come to Palestine because there are many activities to participate in during the summer months. If you are interested in volunteering or interning abroad in the Middle East this summer, then consider coming to Hebron, Palestine and joining us at the Excellence Center. To travel to Palestine means you also have the chance to visit well-known cities in and around the West Bank.
You or your loved ones may be wondering, is it safe to travel to the Middle East and Palestine in particular? Western media outlets tell a message opposite to the reality of life in Palestine. Contrary to widespread media, the West Bank is a safe place for foreigners to travel. Travelers come all year-round to visit places such as Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the Dead Sea, and more. Past volunteers, interns, and Arabic students that have come to the Excellence Center report feeling very safe in the West Bank. Most are surprised that this a place has such a negative reputation in the media because of the overwhelming amount of hospitality and genuine friendliness they experience in Palestine.
When coming to the Middle East in summer 2018, we should warn you that it gets very hot. Travelers will want to make sure they pack plenty of sunscreen, a pair of sunglasses, and a hat to protect themselves from the sun when they are here. The blessing of coming to Palestine in the summer is that travelers can take trips to the Dead Sea and the Mediterranean Sea on hot days to cool off in the water. Though traveling to Palestine in the summer with be sunny and sometimes uncomfortably hot, there are so many reasons to consider coming in the summer.
