The Excellence Center (EC) utilizes numerous activities in order to involve individuals with Palestinian life and community.
One such activity engaged by the EC team (comprised of international interns, volunteers, and Palestinian English students) is a collaboration with the local community to create murals in the city of Hebron. These murals depict Palestinian daily life and the impact of the occupation on that daily life.
For example, murals portraying refugee camp experience illustrate the struggles that refugee inhabitants must endure on a daily basis.
The benefits of such artistic endeavors are twofold: They allow communal interaction of international volunteers with Palestinian people and culture. They also articulate the lives and experiences of the citizens of Hebron through this creative collaboration.
