“My name is Conor Just. I live in America, in the state of Rhode Island. I study Political Science and the Arabic language at the University I attend, and I am passionate about traveling to a new place and speaking with new people. I want to learn as much as I can about the history and culture of Palestine and its people.
Because I am learning a new language, I understand how difficult it is, and I want to help teach English to anyone who wants to learn it in the city of Hebron. Unfortunately, I am only able to stay for a month, but I will do as much as I can with the time I have. I chose to go to Palestine because I want to know for myself what Palestine is like from experience, not from reading the news or books. I believe that the only way to know about a place is to immerse yourself in it, which is why I wanted to come to a culturally rich city like Hebron.
I chose to volunteer at the Excellence Center because I think that the way they teach the students (with international volunteers) is the best way to for me to achieve these goals”. Conor Just is from the USA and currently participating in the Volunteer in Palestine program in the city of Hebron, Palestine
