Volunteer in a Community Development program in Palestine

Our Volunteer in Community Development program in Palestine is an incredible opportunity for a great variety of people who want to improve their resumes through in-field experience in Palestine: we welcome anyone who has a strong interest and/or competence in economic development, self-development, leadership, communication, from pre-college students to postgraduate students with a degree in economics, international relations, or political science. We also welcome anyone with relevant work experience who would like to share their knowledge in the field by carrying out their own, customized activities.IMG_7074

Typical day at the Excellence Center

The schedule of our volunteers here at the Excellence Center is very flexible, though it is subject to change from week to week. Generally, you will be working five days a week from 9am until 5pm on Saturday to Thursday, with two days off: Friday, and another day of your choice. The day will start with breakfast at the Center together with the whole excellence staff – the administration, the teachers and the volunteers. In addition to teaching classes, your schedule will include Arabic classes (3 hours of Arabic for each week you volunteer), planning for the workshops and activities you will teach, and visiting famous sites in Hebron.

In conclusion, we are in real need for committed and competent volunteers who can empower our Palestinian youth, school students, and community members in community development by means of the above-mentioned activities. Our volunteers will benefit a great deal from our program, both in terms of working experience and personal development, and will make an important contribution to our community.breakfast
