Graduating More than 60 Palestinian Students

GC3On November 5th, the Excellence Center held a special ceremony recognizing those students who have recently completed English courses and will be advancing to higher level classes. About 60 students attended the ceremony, as well as the family members of many students. Excellence Center international volunteers and numerous staff were also in attendance, and presented students with certificates  to commemorate their achievements.GC

At the beginning of the ceremony students watched a short informational video about English Club at the Excellence Center, and two students gave brief speeches about their positive experiences as members. Excellence Center staff also gave speeches congratulating students on their accomplishments, and reminding them of the many opportunities they are creating for themeselves by gaining mastery of the English language. Excellence Center volunteer teachers Monica and Cara from the United States were in attendance to celebrate with their students, and assist local teachers with the presentation ceremony.GC4

Students seemed excited about the event, and most had their pictures taken as they were presented with their certificates. They expressed thanks to Excellence Center staff and volunteers, and many stayed to speak English and take pictures with teachers after the ceremony. By recognizing success through this and other similar programs, staff of the Excellence Center demonstrate their belief in the importance of encouraging students on their English language journeyGC2
